A three-day State visit to South Africa, at the invitation of the host government, strengthened bilateral relations and advanced trade and investment between the two economies.

The two sides also discussed closer cooperation on regional and continental priorities, including the African Continental Free Trade Area and shared positions in multilateral forums.
