Kenya and a partner state sign a bilateral air services agreement

· Nairobi, Kenya· Ministry of Foreign & Diaspora Affairs

A new bilateral air services agreement will expand direct connectivity, supporting trade, tourism and people-to-people ties.

Kenya and a partner state have concluded a bilateral air services agreement that will expand direct air connectivity between the two countries. The agreement is expected to lower the cost of travel, ease the movement of goods and deepen tourism and business links.

The Ministry of Foreign & Diaspora Affairs said the agreement advances Kenya’s economic diplomacy by positioning Nairobi as a regional hub for aviation, trade and logistics. Expanded routes will also make it easier for the diaspora to maintain ties with home.

Officials of the State Department for Foreign Affairs led the Kenyan side of the negotiations, working with the relevant aviation and trade authorities.
