Prison visits & detainee welfare
Consular visits, welfare checks and family liaison for Kenyans detained or imprisoned abroad.
Who this is for
Kenyans held in custody, on remand or serving a sentence abroad, and their families at home who need a trusted line to the mission for welfare news.
Consular staff cannot secure release, pay fines or interfere with the host country's legal process, but they monitor welfare, check on treatment and help maintain family contact.
