Travellers connecting through Kenya may need a transit authorisation depending on their nationality and whether they leave the airport transit area. Confirm before you travel.

Travellers connecting through a Kenyan airport to a third country.

What to bring

  • A passport valid for at least six months
  • A confirmed onward ticket
  • Any visa required by your final destination

How it works

  1. 1Check whether your connection requires a transit authorisation at etakenya.go.ke.
  2. 2Apply for the transit eTA where required and pay the fee.
  3. 3Travel with your approved authorisation and onward ticket.
