Missions may appoint local staff in line with the Vienna Conventions. Locally engaged staff are registered through IPMIS, and missions comply with Kenyan immigration and tax requirements as employers.

How it works
- 1Register all local staff on IPMIS under staff management.
- 2Where a hire is a national of the sending or a third state, comply with Kenyan immigration requirements for the employment of aliens.
- 3As an employer, deduct and remit income tax and other levies under Kenyan law.
