Convert your driving licence

Members holding a valid non-Kenyan driving licence are required to convert it to a Kenyan licence. Those without a licence undergo the driving school and testing procedures of the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA).

eCitizen · NTSA

Who it applies to

Members who drive in Kenya.

How it works

  1. 1Apply to convert the foreign licence through eCitizen (NTSA).
  2. 2Where there is no existing licence, complete NTSA driving school and testing.
  3. 3Pay the applicable driving-licence and test fees on eCitizen.

Conditions and notes

  • Motor-vehicle service fees (registration, transfer, number plates, inspection, licence and test) are paid on eCitizen - they are not exempt.
